About Me

I am a 28-year old Software Geek living in Arlington, Massachusetts with my wife and 2 children.

I have been building web applications professionally since 1999, and prior to that I was attending college and tutoring students in C++, Visual Basic, and basic HTML skills. Before that, I was a dual enrolled student, meaning that I attended both high school and college at the same time. I started dual enrolling when I was fifteen.

I have been working professionally with Ruby since March 2005, when I was a Web Applications Developer at Fusionary Media. In 2006, I moved to Boston and work for a startup founded by Jeff Taylor, founder and chief "Monster" of Monster.com. Shortly thereafter, I worked at The MathWorks, creator of the popular Matlab and Simulink software. Currently, I work for Beacon Interactive Systems building Ruby applications for the Navy.

Over the last three and a half years, I have contributed to a few Ruby projects. Some of those include:

  • Ruby on Rails
  • Rubinius
  • Mongrel cluster
  • Thinking sphinx
  • Memcache-client
  • ActiveRecord SQL Server adapter

I also run One Man Wonder, which is where my entrepreneurial spirit shines. Check back there periodically for updates.
